Classic Irish Pub Shopfront
I discovered a Classic Irish Pub Shopfront in Kilkee. It’s got everything I love about a traditional
shopfront. The classic Irish small townhouse building with a gorgeous timber shopfront with neat little
corbels all painted the same colour as the building. It has lovely marble effect letters in a classic font,
cute net curtains and paneled doors. The red bench and table outside match the doors and just beside it
is a charming make shift bench on kegs. The obligatory Guinness sign is hung in the window. There are
no crappy lights stuck above the sign and the sash windows are in keeping with the era. The 3
complimentary paint colours , grey, white and red are almost modern and minimalist. As the pub wasn’t
open I couldn’t resist standing on the bench (bold me) and I looked through the window at the interior.
It is just as quaint as the outside…..ah sure there’s an excuse to go back to Kilkee.
